What a year to "represent" the hood, as long as you're not too old or too (heaven forbid) too "white". I get many requests and suggestions to be more "URBAN". Look at the image here...Most old (Gramps and Grannies-Leave it to beaver types) would probably shun this type of art or say... " Oy Vey,Look at that dirty Swartza over there , wit the crooked cap and big loud car !!!".

Sure they smell funny...They fall asleep when you are talking to them...Some have a thousand cats and "feed" every bird and/or animal this side of Texas. But hey, they are naive. If only i had a Time Machine . I would make their "23 SKIDOO","SHAMMA LAMMA DING DONG",or whatever was the current 'words' used during that time, into the decals that are in use today.

It Was a more Innocent time then , i get that , the youth of yesteryear are grown and senile now. I always thought being "GHETTO" was bad , but here's a market of
new and fresh content waiting to explode. I never condone the GANGSTA lifestyle , but always believed there were and are very talented artists/artwork hidden in the hood.
I Dig the nonconformity , the finger to society aspect , the visual display of everyday strife splattered on stucco canvas. Most don't de-face,but become hard to resist ,in your face ,larger than life portraits of street life.
Although i wouldn't get caught spraying a wall or supermarket,i understand the need to express.
